Copper scrap comes in many forms, shapes and sizes. It is a byproduct of the metal production process and can be found in different grades. There are two main types of copper scrap:
-Ferrous (steel) copper scrap
-Nonferrous (copper) copper scrap
The ferrous copper scrap is made of steel that is coated with a thin layer of copper to prevent corrosion. The nonferrous type is made up entirely of copper and has no steel content.
